8. 2 Bulbs of Allium Giant Globemaster 20/+ cm. Huge Bulbs! Ornamental Onion
Description
You will get 2 Bulbs of Allium Giant 'Globemaster' 20/+ cm. Huge Bulbs! Ornamental Onion
USDA Zones: 4-7. Flowering Height: 36 inches. Flowering Time: Late Spring - Early Summer.
Planting Allium Bulbs: In the Fall, choose a spot that is somewhat sunny and has nicely well-draining soil. Planting allium bulbs is fairly simple. Bulbs look much like an onion, with wiry roots growing out of one site and a spike on the other. Plant with the roots pointing down and the spike pointing up.
Follow the rule of thumb when planting bulbs and give the bulbs at least 2 times their height of soil above them. Dig a 6 inch deep hole for big Allium bulbs and a 4 inch hole for small Allium bulbs, drop the bulb into it and cover with soil. Regarding the spacing between bulbs, if planting in beds, leave approx 3 inches between each cluster of bulb. If you are planting in containers, you can space them a little closer together.
After planting, water well so that the soil above the bulbs settles. Allium bulbs will begin to flower in the late Spring. After the flowers die down, the plant can enjoy a warmer rest period. You don't have to water too much during this rest period. Leaves will also die back and at this point, you can choose to tidy up the plant and remove the old leaves or just let nature take its own course.

10. Stars of Persia, Allium Tall Christophii Ornamental Onion Bulbs,Scent Keeps Rodents & Deer at a Distance - 12 Bulbs
Description
How to Grow Allium Bulbs Alliums are essentially blooming onions – no, not the ones you might find in your local chain restaurant, but rather, flowering bulbs that compliment any late spring garden. Unlike more common fall planted/spring blooming bulbs such as tulips and daffodils, the allium is a curiosity that is sure to impress and inspire for years to come. Also known as ornamental onions, Allium is ideal for making color and height combinations in the border. Most alliums flower in June, just after the real spring flowerers, and before most summer flowers comes into bloom. They therefore form an indispensable perennial that keeps the border in flower well into the year.
